My entire experience in buying and building the Belleville wall clock from Murray Clock Craft has been great. I am completely satisfied with the finished product.

I wanted a clock that was weight-driven and chimed, but I did not have room for a floor clock. After searching the websites of several clock sellers, I found the Belleville, which fit the requirements precisely.

Prior to purchasing the kit, I spoke to Arek a couple of times to obtain product information. Each time, she was polite, helpful and displayed thorough product knowledge. She never rushed me, and patiently answered all my questions. From these conversations, I developed a feeling that I could trust Murray Clock Craft with such a large purchase. This was especially important because the movement was back ordered and would not be available for three months.

Once ordered, the shipment containing the wood case pieces, beveled glass, pendulum and clock face arrived in good order as it had been well packed. A subsequent shipment containing the movement and weights was equally well packed.

I am a complete novice; the last woodworking project I did was in elementary school shop class making bookends. The case pieces were cut perfectly so I was able to perform dry assembly two or three times to figure out the best clamp placement before committing to the final assembly with glue. I was concerned about maintaining the gapless seams on the angled-cuts on the crown molding, but they went together perfectly. The best lesson I learned was to put blue tape along every joint before gluing to catch the excess glue before it ran onto the wood surface. Only the first couple of joints where I failed to do this step provided issues when it came time to stain the case.

I did speak to people at Murray Clock a couple of times to ask for clarification of the installation instructions; and each time, they were patient and knowledgeable.

The biggest disappointment during the project was the fact that the manufacturer of the movement missed the original shipment date. It was not the fault of Murray Clock; and I was most appreciative and impressed with Daniel’s efforts to contact the manufacturer. He made many calls and emails to determine when the product would be available. I always felt that Murray Clock was making every effort to complete my order.

The Belleville clock is a great product, but even more important, Murray Clock Craft provided great customer service not only at time of sale but even more so afterwards.
